January has a sadistic vice: it offers wonderful midweek days and cold and cloudy weekends. A constant. But I am not a detractor of this month and the bad weather, which is not a drama, can also be an excellent ally as long as it is not one with laziness. Let's arm ourselves with patience and creativity, investing what is the premium phase of changing wardrobes that you have already done by this point in the calendar: now it's the turn of decluttering! It is a rainy day that makes no sense to invest by going for a walk, you are tempted by the sofa, but you also want to do something new. It may seem a torture to rework what seemed perfect when the change of season took place but, as you can notice, there is something that you have been holding on to and that really, at least for now, does not make sense to show off because it is just out of the blue or too iconic of a few seasons ago. Instead of reproaching yourself for wearing certain garments and accessories, enjoy a little indulgence by appealing to creative recycling or, in a nutshell, to fashion courses and appeals that justify and encourage the idea of not throwing anything away but at the moment only represent a legalized theft: the one of space! In my closet there is a rule: for every new thing that comes in, one must go out. This concerns also and above all the particular pieces, those that focus on the trend of the moment which, spoiler but not too much, is called the trend of the moment precisely because it does not last forever. In front of you, you will have two boxes: the one you have to make disappear in some corner of the house with the pieces you hope will come back sooner or later (but, alas, not now) and those who have made their story and who might be happy in other houses. For the former there is the closet, as well as the container bed, the garage used as a warehouse or the house of the mother who will be happy to welcome (again) something of you; for the second there is the Internet, there are markets, friends... But let's get to the point and the reason of all this: because taking away to take away only serves to use time otherwise given to the sofa, but it is not enough; instead, remove and make rooms commits all the weekend because after decluttering there is another refuge from the rain outside: the shops! So here are my ideas to bring out something old that will make room for something new.

The slippers with fur, overbearing protagonists of at least two seasons, have had their day: put them away and show up with sneakers, comfortable but never ordinary. With the oversized coat with belt or without, it's already look! 

Away the pastel mini duvet to make room for the maxi duvet in the boldest and most daring colours (orange, fuchsia, electric blue), to be combined with dolce vita and black trousers or skirts as black as possible and jewels or costume jewelery that do not fear the gamble.

Away the street style boot that has a bit bored but will return, in favour of the beatle boot with black or very colourful elastic: it goes well with a long skirt and with all types of trousers. You will not be separated from this easily.

The coloured raincoat gives way to the more classic trench coat that will also cover the evening dress on formal occasions or the shorts plus shorts you have. 

Finally, put away for quite a while the backpacks that have raged the past winter seasons: you will collect them out in the spring, eager to go out on a trip. For now, off to the maxi bag at all hours. Etiquette says no to big bags in the evening: the trend says green light 24/7 instead.
